The Good Old Days

Have you ever wondered where the word "Testify" comes from? You might be surprised, or terrified. In Ancient Rome, to "testify" meant that the man in the Roman court was swearing to a statement made, by swearing on his testicles. Imagine if every male from this administration, including Karen Hughes, or from the military chain of command, who has ever had to testify to Congress, had to do so under this definition, do you honestly think their "testimonies" would have been the same? I don't.

Sorry, Mr. President. I was hoping for a more reputable source than your own blog. And please stick to the topic at hand, thank you.

Would you be willing to put your own balls on the line that the stories you cite are the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth?

Absolutely, if we are talking about the post-Modern conception of truth.

To each his own!

You have to understand Wayne. Certain Neocon beliefs are rooted in the needed fabrication of accepted "truths". And with logic like that, our understanding of reality and facts are quite quaint to them. They see themselves above these silly "dated" notions; morally and intellectually. As long as their common good is served, nothing is really a lie.
