P.S. This Means You (A Song Parody)

P.S. This Means You
(Original Words and Music, "P.S. I Love You",
by Paul McCartney & John Lennon, 1963
Additional Lyrics by Wayne A. Schneider, 2007)

"As I write this letter,
Send my words to you.
Remember that you have to
See impeachment through.

"Honor those oath's words you took together.
Remember them forever.
P.S. This means you.
You, You, You"

I'll be writing Hall again tomorrow
To tell him of my sorrow.
P.S. Why don't you?
You, You, You.

"As I write this letter,
Send my words to you.
Remember that you have to
See impeachment through.

"Honor those oath's words you took together.
Remember them forever.
P.S. This means you.
You, You, You.

"As I write this letter, Oh,
Send my words to you. You know I want you to
Remember that you have to, yea,
See impeachment through."

I'll be writing Hall again tomorrow
To tell him of my sorrow.
P.S. Why don't you?
You, You, You.
You, You, You.
Why don't you?

This Barb michelen character sure travels a lot, she was on her way to the airport when she left a comment on my blog the other night!
Nice post! I take it that Hall is one of your Representatives?

Thanks, Mike. He is my US Representative. Congressman John Hall, NY-19 (Dutchess, Putnam, Upper Westchester Counties) and co-founder of the rock group Orleans ("Dance With Me" and "Still The One"). He is a staunch supporter of veterans (of which I am one) and a lifelong supporter of environmental causes (including helping to preserve the beautiful Hudson River & Valley.) I am thrilled to have voted for him and helped him defeat an out-of-touch Republican who was wrong on the issues important to her constituents.

Like Congressman Hall, I once took and oath to support and defend the Constitution of the United States. I took that oath seriously (and still do to this day, for why should I quit on it?) and I expect my elected officials who also take it to do the same. The Vice President (and President) are guilty of impeachable offenses. To continue to allow them to stay in office just to help their party use it as a campaign issue means that the oath does not mean as much as winning the next election. It is wrong of Speaker Nancy Pelosi to do it, and it is wrong of any Democratic Congressman, my own included, to follow suit.

Either they are willing to defend the Constitution against these particular domestic enemies or they are not. I'm still waiting for them to understand it this way. My patience is wearing thin.

Thank you for visiting my blog and for your kind words. I could understand them. :)
